Howard’s business life began at school, working early mornings at his father’s newsagents! Fast forward 20 years and that business evolved into a food and drink store chain that was named National Independent Retailer of the Year in 2002. After successfully selling the chain, Howard turned his passion for wine into more than a hobby, and Momentum Wines began. Still very much involved in the day-to-day running of the business, he’s also a keen golfer, runner and cook – as long as there is a decent bottle open, of course!

Supporting Howard in his business ventures for over 25 years, Sian manages all financial aspects of the company. She’s the glue that holds our team together! When Sian doesn’t have a calculator in her hand, she’s moving sheep, renovating houses or plumbing in a new bathroom – we don’t know how she fits it all in.

After running a successful pub for ten years, Rachel made the leap over to the wine industry and you’ll now find her spending as much time researching and tasting wine as she does talking about it. Gym bunny, proud Mummy and big foodie, we can always trust Rachel to bake up some treats for Team Momentum’s ‘Cake Monday’.

From customer wine lists to developing our Momentum trade portfolio, Claire’s keen eye for detail is at the heart of our sales support team. Outside of office hours, she always has a project on the go, so as well as walking her black lab and cooking for friends, she can often be found up a ladder with a paintbrush!

Mike joined Momentum Wines in 2021 and is an integral part of our sales support team. When he’s not taking care of our trade orders, he’s usually directing a Parkrun or baking the most fabulous cakes. His gluten-free brownies with fresh cream are off the charts!

With over 25 years of experience across all sectors of the wine trade, Rachael looks after all things digital for Momentum Wines. She also supports Howard with wine buying and helps out with the WSET training programmes. She’s partial to anything chocolate based, loves a good coffee and will happily show you her headstand if you ask!
