Another cracking wine from Vina Cobos. Inky violet in colour with an expressive nose of black cherry, blackberries, hints of vanilla and sweet spice. For a full-bodied and energetic wine, the tannins are remarkably subtle and silky. Drinking superbly, but this wine has all the structure for ageing beautifully for the next 10 years.
Altocedro Gran Reserve Malbec
Altocedro's flagship Malbec is star quality. Produced from 104 year old vines in La Consulta, the wine has been aged for 24 months in new Burgundy oak to complement an intense concentration of colours, aromas and flavours. Ageing potential, 10-15 years.
